Earth Day + Friends of Madera Canyon
Second Annual Earth Day Community Volunteer Event
We’re recruiting volunteers aged 12 and up who want to spend a few hours giving back to their community in honor of Earth Day on April 18, 2026! Please join us from 8:00 am to 11:00 am to restore the habitat near the Old Baldy Approach trail. We’ll meet at the Wrightson parking area in Madera Canyon, where we’ll collect your volunteer registration forms and permission slips, if under 18, and make work assignments.
To ensure we have adequate tools, equipment, and donuts, please register:
Details:
- When: 8:00 am – 11:00 am April 18, 2026
- Check in between 7:15 am – 7:45 am
- Where: Old Baldy Trailhead, Madera Canyon Wrightson Parking Lot
- What to bring: Please come prepared with long sleeves, long pants, sturdy closed-toed shoes, water to drink and anything else you may need. Tools, supplies and any other equipment needed for performing the volunteer services will be provided.
- Under 18: Anyone under 18 needs to have a parent or guardian complete page two of the registration form. (If you have already volunteered with the Friends of Madera Canyon in 2026, you do not need to complete a new volunteer form.) Please bring this completed form with you.
- We regret that we cannot accept volunteers younger than 12.
