The Memory Wall

The “Memory of Wall”, dedicated in 2015, celebrates departed spouses, partners, friends and relatives who had special affinity for Madera Canyon in their lives. As of June 1, 2026 there are 53 individuals listed. 

Why choose the Memory Wall? The honorees can be categorized by their passion and activities they enjoyed most in a natural sanctuary so special to them. The list includes avid hikers & trail leaders, dedicated birders & nature photographers, nature enthusiasts & those seeking a spiritual connection, preserving outdoor legacies and family traditions. 

Who sponsors the honorees? Spouses, children, parents, siblings, extended family and friends, organizations.   

 Would you like to remember loved ones by adding their name to the ‘In Memory of Wall’? The fee of $5000 includes engraving and continued maintenance of the wall. All but $200 is tax deductible. Proceeds go directly to support stewardship like projects and Education programs of the Friends of Madera Canyon.
